A yummy little treat.

Today we are going to make a quick edible moss. This yummy little snack is great on top of yogurt, cereal, oatmeal BUT it is also the perfect addition to your woodland themed cakes. And speaking of woodland themed cakes, I used this edible moss for my fairy house cake for a touch of pizzazz.

Making Edible Moss

This edible moss is great for decorating cakes, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, or anywhere else you want a mossy effect. Just sprinkle on freshly iced treats or frosting and press lightly to get the moss to stick.

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Additional Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

This yummy little snack is great on top of yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and it's the perfect addition to your woodland themed cakes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • green food gel coloring
  • 1 tablespoon vodka or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Combine crushed graham crackers and shredded coconut.
  3. Mix food gel coloring and vodka.
  4. Add to mix and fully combine until color is well incorporated.
  5. Place on baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes.
